Questions / Answers

1.      Is the result of the hair transplant permanent?
Yes. The transplanted hair will remain and no longer fall out, because the hair removed from the back of the head is resistant to the hormone DHT, which causes hair loss in other parts of the head.

2.      How soon will the results be visible?
Some of the transplanted hair will fall out within 3-6 weeks after the procedure and begin to grow back in about 2-4 months. Approximately 50% of the transplanted hair will have grown back in 6 months and 100% of the final result will be visible in 12-14 months.

3.      How soon will I be able to return to work after the procedure?
We recommend resting at home for 1-2 days after the procedure. Redness will be seen in the place where the new hair has been planted, which will last for 1-2 weeks, in some cases up to 1 month. In the back of the head, the hair will grow back and cover the treatment area, and after 1-2 weeks it will be possible to go to the hairdresser to straighten the hair to the same length.

4.      How soon after the procedure can I resume sports activities?
We recommend resuming sports activities no earlier than 2 weeks after the procedure.

5.      Will I have my hair cut before the procedure?
In the donor zone at the back of the head, from where the hair will be taken for transplantation, it will be cut to a length of 1 mm. The area depends on the number of grafts required for transplantation.

6.      How long does the hair transplant procedure take?
The standard hair transplant procedure lasts 6-8 hours, during which it is possible to take a break to rest, stretch, and eat. The exact duration of the procedure is individual and differs from the number of grafts required by the patient and the hair structure.

7.      Is it possible to take hair from another donor?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. It is possible to transplant only your own hair.

8.      Are there other alternatives to hair transplantation?
As long as the hair is not completely lost, it is possible to treat and care for it properly. In places where the hair has already completely lost, transplanting is the only way to recover it.

9.      Am I a suitable candidate for a hair transplant?
To determine whether it is possible to perform a hair transplant procedure, we recommend that you consult our specialists, who will evaluate all the factors that determine whether the procedure is possible, such as heredity, the amount of hair loss, hair properties, the desired result, etc.

10.   How much does the FUE hair transplant procedure cost?
„Premium Medical Clinic” offers manual FUE hair transplantation and motorized FUE hair transplantation. With motorized transplantation, the procedure will be faster and cheaper, as it is possible to obtain more grafts in a shorter time, however, such grafts are more traumatized, a larger donor area is required, and ingrowth results are lower than using the manual method.

The total cost of the procedure depends on the number of grafts required, the exact amount can be determined in the consultation.
